AMD's APU are quite new and has been around since 2011. APU is CPU+GPU within the same chip - a response to Intel's CPU+GPU solution introduction with Clarkdale, released 2009 . Llano was the codename of the first released APU.
This an excellent option for those who have limited budget but still which to gain performance in games.
