I'm currently at TAFE and for those that are in the States and or the United Kingdom it is collage.

At TAFE I'm currently studying Cert IV in web design, but I have completed Cert IV in Networking last year. I first had an interest in computers when something wasn't working correctly and had to look deeper into why it was not working correctly. After that I started to join computer forums and look around the internet on how to do some of the stuff that I have been interested in. That is how I first found RougeDatabase.net and that is where I started to learn about Rouge's and how they can effect computers and how you can remove them. Then someone told me about rM and MalwareUp and that is when I started to do IT classes at school and got to know about computers and computer networks even more. After that I of course found MalwareTips.com  and have learnt even more here from hardware that I have learnt from Valentin N and pcjunklist and MetalShaun and other people and then to how to remove malware which I learnt a fair amount of MrXidus and other people here. :) Antoher one that I have joined is SSUpdater.b1.jcink.com :)

After once I have comleted my computer web desgin course I hope to go on to a job that will mean that I can do it from home and make websites and what not from home for people and or go into a and own a computer repair shop.

Well this is about me and not everything I said that people will like but I have liked what I have done and I'm looking forward to what is ahead and the new things I can learn and the new people that I can meet :)

Yes I'm a student and gonna graduate next year so my course could related like Computer Science having like programmer or perhaps Computer Engineering since I was really enjoyed on the part of this field and would not leave it.

I am not sure what got me into IT originally. I had a older friend that was always good with computers which I found quite impressive and its always to be able to help people out with stuff. Also i think when i began to realize that being a rockstar was not the best career choice I decided to go for IT as a career. I studied Computing and Music Technology at College. I am currently working at the UK Met Office as an IT practitioner.

EDIT: Why don't you tell us about yourself Earth???

I am new to this forum. I came across it while trying to remove some malware from my computer ( god only knows where my son has been). I am a Maintenance Engineer in the offshore industry and have been self taught using and fixing computers. I am no expert but get by and I am sure this forum will hold a wealth of knowlege for me. What would we do without our computers these days ?????????????

I was interested very early by computers, i used a Amstrad 64 and Thomson MO6. but at that time internet didn't existed yet.

so i wait my turn, but my lack of resources not allowed me to buy a correct PC until late, then i follow a Computer Technician course , get a position as IT for some companies but get bored of the useless demands of the employees wasting my time; then quit to be a freelancer. I was quite interested by security and my first malware toy was Subseven.

I was a console gamer (and still am) before since having a computer at the time was very expensive. When I first got my Pentium 2 system (Pentium 3 processor was released not long before), I was over the moon. At that time I started discovering games for the PC. When I finally had Internet, 56k modem connection, I only used IRC and ICQ and perhaps check one site (hotmail). No infections at the time. The AV solution that was included by the Shop where I got the PC was Norton.

I then got drawn to shell replacements (Litestep and Darkstep). Unfortunately it was not a walk in the park. So I started downloading tutorials only to learn the mechanics etc. Whilst downloading some Litestep tutorials I got interested by some terms so I used yahoo search and came across some rather techie informative sites explaining dll's and other terms. That is when I started studying more and more via the Internet and expanded my limited knowledge wide open, going from gaming to mechanics behind anti-hacking security solutions within games (due to some unpatched versions, some users had to use some rather complicated troubleshooting steps) to security of your own system etc. It was then I got a summer job at a pc repair shop, where I learned how to use Norton Ghost, fix software based issues and assemble new systems or parts (hardware).

With that background, I unfortunately did not specialize in one field but decided to be what you call a jack of all trades, master of none. It is not to say I will not choose to improve my knowledge. I have further improved my knowledge further in this forum (in terms of specific infections removal) along with other guides and tutorials about securities across the internet so far. I also been keen on trying to make my own reviews and video reviews to simply further understand the mechanic behind the products and functions, whilst at the same time, show the user the tests/reviews to have them draw their own conclusion.

After the last terminal exam I had in the school, I almost feel that I lost my memory about computers, that was very strange! :(

I got my computer around 7 years back. Ok dont laugh, i did not know how to start it nor knew there was something called multi tasking. I slowly learnt everything. Initial i loved testing lot of software, then as i started catching viruses i finally started removing them. I also through web learnt programming languages. I study a lot to get top grades so dont have much time now to spend and test on my PC. I also slowly started assembling and rearing pcs. I am more inclined to join the IT security field once I complete my education. I am now in 11th std and just 17. I have long way before i finish college. I have around 5 years till I get a degree.

I just found this site recently when I was looking for ways to remove trojans from my home computer. Your Instructions were thorough and step by step. So thankful the programs were free too!

I work as a physical therapy assistant at a major hospital in the DC area. I have been a PTA for over 12 yrs now and love it. My computer tech knowledge is pitiful, so I am very grateful for sites like this one who help clueless people like me!

I can answer many exercise questions, but computer lingo and workings are a completely foreign language for me.

Thanks SOO much for providing this site!

    :) Ang

I became interested back when windows 95 was the OS of the time and AOL Dial up Internet was the latest technology.Oh and those chat rooms too!One time while exploring this new found Internet thing I caught something bad and crashed my computer. So, I promised never to go on a porn site again and instead looked for answers on how to avoid ,get rid of and fix problems. That got me into some PC forums and as I became more interested I began reading and teaching myself.I got some books and basically taught myself with a little help from some very knowledgable friends.
I built my own machine and started fixing friends and family members machines. Then my son started playing a game called "Call of Duty", I dont know if you guys heard of it but boy was I hooked.I got into some gaming forums and tinkered with xbox and PS3.Then became interested in the inner workings of both and eventually did some modding on both systems and I will leave it at that.I am by no means an expert but I have been at it in one way or another for many years.I stumbled upon this site while looking for some Antivirus trial offers.I looked around for a bit as a guest and was impressed with what I saw so here I am.Im glad I joined it is a very informative site with many knowledgable members.
