Are you using a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system?:
    64-bit (x64)
    Infection date and initial symptoms:
    6/6/17
    Current issues and symptoms:
HitmanPro detected svchost.exe as a suspicious file, I downloaded HitmanPro from bleepingcomputer.com because I could not download it from the hitmanpro.com website in IE 11 or the latest version of Firefox, I kept getting a server not found error. My computer is slow at times, such as when I right click on the desktop to see the context menu.
Steps taken in order to remove the infection:
Ran Norton Anti-Virus full scan and HitmanPro. Norton found nothing and HitmanPro found the svchost suspicious. I did not clean it since I wanted to be sure it wasn't a false positive first.
    Logs added to help request:
    • FRST.txt

Thank you. I guess malware is not keeping me from downloading HitmanPro from the HitmanPro site then. I'll keep troubleshooting.
