I don't see symptoms anymore with ads, pop-ups and the likes but HitmanPro still shows SearchProtect and MyPC BackUp and AdwCleaner shows avaavxvyex, LuckyTab, globalUpdateUpdateTaskMachineCore and globalUpdateUpdateTaskMachineUA in scheduled tasks. Malwarebytes and Avast don't show anything. I tried multiple times to delete them with HitmanPro and AdwCleaner but they are still there. Are they still posing a threat ? I've included the logs and a screenshot of the result with HitmanPro and Adwcleaner. Thank you

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:
  • At the top of your post, please click on the "Watch thread" button and make sure to check Watch this thread...and receive email notifications. This will send an email to you as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing me to solve your problem faster.
  • Please do not install any new software during the cleaning process other than the tools I provide for you. This can hinder the cleaning process. Please do not perform System Restore or any other restore.
  • Instructions I give to you are very simple and made for complete beginner to follow. That's why you need to read through my instructions carefully and completely before executing them.
  • Please do not run any tools other than the ones I ask you to, when I ask you to. Some of these tools can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, if you use a tool that I have not requested you use, it can cause false positives, thereby delaying the complete cleaning of your machine.
  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using
    fjqb1h.png
button below. Doing this, you make it easier for me to analyze and fix your problem.

  • Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay for the repair.
  • If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

As i said in my first post there are no more symptoms, I got rid of them before posting in the forum with Malwarebytes and Avast. But HitmanPro and Adwcleaner still show something (see 2.jpg screenshot) and now it seems that Adwcleaner has detected something new (see 3.jpg screenshot).

Adwcleaner doesn't show anything, so that's ok for that. But I rebooted and my computer doesn't seem to detect the wifi card anymore because I cant see any network, can't connect to the internet now and there seem to be a conflict between window's firewall and avast firewall. I can't activate avast firewall. Moreover, HitmanPro still show some searchprotect. I hope i'm clear, english is not my first language and i have to work so I wrote that fast! ;-) I've made a new scan and included the logfiles

I have included the log from HitmanPro. It indicates some "Malware remnants" and "Potential Unwanted Programs". Maybe they are not really a problem? What do you think? I have tried several times to delete them with the software but without any success.

As for internet, I have solved the problem. I had done a scan with AdwCleaner and deleted the registry key "HKCU\Software\Local AppWizard-Generated Applications" that it shown. I think that was the problem because when I reseted WINSOCK entries, IPv4 TCP/IP and IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults the network came back, as the registry key that I previously deleted. My bad for that.

Yes, these are only possible remnants. They are not active and I really do not know why is HitmanPro showing them, because I do not see this in FRST reports.

Let's scan registry for them:

FRST.gif
FRST search

Once again we shall use FRST for additional checks. Re-run FRST/FRST64 by double-clicking:
  • Copy CltMngSvc;SPPD;BackupStack into the Search: field in FRST then click the Search Registry button.
  • FRST will search your computer for files and when finished it will produce a log Search.txt in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please attach it to your reply.

It doesn't work. I pressed the fix button this morning at 7:15 and when I came back from work at 04:30 it was still "Fixing is in progress. Please wait..." I've just tried a second time and it's the same.

It doesn't seem to work either. Before running the new fix you provided I opened the fixlog.txt and it seems that although I had to end the task myself because it was still showing in process after more than 8 hours it generated the log. So I ran HitmanPro again and it still showed the remnants. Now it's has been more than 30 minutes that it is processing with the new fix and it looks like the same. It has created a new fixlog.txt that I've included. I'm gonna see if it still in process when i come from work. If it's too much trouble and the remnants are not a problem we could consider my computer clean. What do you think ?

It is not trouble, we can try few more things, but it is not important. These are only some leftovers that doesn't do anything, they have probably some permissions that needs to be fixed, but it is not important.

Your PC is clean, there is no active infection running.
