Firm files trademarks ahead of rumoured October debut
CHINESE PHONE MAKER Huawei has moved to trademark the name 'Harmony' in Europe for its homegrown Android replacement.
That's according to Dutch tech site
LetsGoDigital, which reports that the name was registered on 12 July with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), as well as the UK's Intellectual Property Office. The description of the application reads: "Downloadable operating system programs; Recorded operating system programs; Mobile operating systems; Computer operating systems; Downloadable computer operating programs and computer operating systems."
