Today, we’re introducing something new. It’s called Inbox. Years in the making, Inbox is by the same people who brought you Gmail, but it’s not Gmail: it’s a completely different type of inbox, designed to focus on what really matters.

Email started simply as a way to send digital notes around the office. But fast-forward 30 years and with just the phone in your pocket, you can use email to contact virtually anyone in the world…from your best friend to the owner of that bagel shop you discovered last week.

With this evolution comes new challenges: we get more email now than ever, important information is buried inside messages, and our most important tasks can slip through the cracks—especially when we’re working on our phones. For many of us, dealing with email has become a daily chore that distracts from what we really need to do—rather than helping us get those things done.

If this all sounds familiar, then Inbox is for you. Or more accurately, Inbox works for you. Here are some of the ways Inbox is at your service:
  • Bundles: stay organized automatically
  • Highlights: the important info at a glance
  • Reminders, Assists, and Snooze: your to-do’s on your own terms

ok. I sent requesting an invite
Thank you very much for your help

Just remember, to activate Inbox by Gmail you must own and have access to your iPhone, iPad or Android device, before you can get accesss via the web. Please note, as this is Google, they lack all Windows Phone support.

@Huracan I believe it works on Google Chrome as well, so as long as you have a pc you are good to go.

Edit 1: @Huracan I was wrong, just checked the invite mail i got, you have to activate it first either through the Android or IOS as Huracan just stated above.

Once activated you can also use it on the web (via Google Chrome) by visiting inbox.google.com.

Inbox by Google is now available for everyone

No more invites: Inbox is now open
Finally, you’ve asked for invites. And we’d like to say yes to all of you, all at once. So as of today, Inbox is open to everyone—no invitation required. All your Gmail messages are ready and waiting. So if you haven't tried Inbox yet, download the app today, and start getting back to what matters.

p.s. While we’re still in the early stages of bringing Inbox to work, today we’re also expanding the Inbox early adopter program so any Google Apps for Work customer who wants to join can do so.
