There come situations sometimes when no Antivirus is installed on the system and the setup closes after just after extracting files etc and also you will be unable to browse Antivirus Softwares related websites. This indicate that you system is infected with virus that prevents you from installing the Antivirus and even block your access to their websites. I am going to share some detail in order to overcome this situation and you'll be able to install and update Antivirus properly. Sometimes you've to download the tools from another system that is clean, just copy into the USB Stick and run from the infected system and scan it.

I am describing some methods to fix the above said issue.

Method 1

Download the Portable Antivirus Tools such as "Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (AVP), Norton Power Eraser, Microsoft Safety Scanner, McAfee Stinger "

1) Information for Kaspersky AVP: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/avptool2011?level=2

Download Link: http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/AVPTool/avptool11

2) Information for Norton Power Eraser: http://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx

Download Link: http://liveupdate.symantec.com/upgrade/NPE/1033/NPE.exe

3) Information and Download Link for Microsoft Safety Scanner:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

4) Information of McAfee Stinger: http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/free-tools/how-to-use-stinger.aspx

Download Link: http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/free-tools/stinger.aspx

Download the latest one setup. Execute, configure and update it and then start Full System Scanning.

Method 2

Download the Malwarebytes Antimalware

Information for Malwarebytes Antimalware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

Download Link: http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
Execute, configure and update it and then start Scanning.

If you failed to download Malwarebytes Antimalware from an infected system, then try the tool by Malwarebytes named "Malwarebytes Chameleon"

Information for Malwarebytes Chameleon:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/chameleon/

Download Link: http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/chameleon

Follow the instructions in the included Chameleon CHM Help File or, if the help file will not open, simply try to run the files by double-clicking on them one by one until one of them remains open, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 3

Use the Antivirus Rescue CD for cleaning the severely infected systems with viruses

Download the Rescue CD by any Antivirus vendor from here http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Links-of-Antivirus-Rescue-CDs

Make them bootable either on CD or USB and boot from it and follow the onscreen instructions. Hopefully you'll be able to install Antivirus successfully without re-installing the Windows.

Method 4

If you are failed to download the above said tools for malware removal, then take out HDD and scan it thoroughly from another clean system having properly configured and fully updated Antivirus by attaching it as using USB to IDE/SATA converter or in Master/Slave Configuration (if IDE, i.e. clean PC HDD as Master and infected PC HDD as Slave) or attach to other SATA ports available (if SATA i.e. if clean PC HDD is on SATA 0, then attach infected HDD on SATA 1 or 2 etc.). Also verify Drive Configuration settings from BIOS whether the HDD (Primary or Secondary) and SATA Controllers are enabled or not.

Method 5

If you are unable to download above said tools for malware removal on the infected system, then try to download the tools on the clean system, then copy them to USB Stick and execute them from it on the infected system in order to scan and clean the system from malware.

Method 6

On failed installations extract Bitdefender offline setup by right clicking on that. You may need some compression software for that. Locate and execute the file "installerpackage.exe". This will create new file having the name "installer.exe", locate it and execute it with Administrative rights and follow on-screen instructions.

This method may help you in installing Bitdefender in the situation in which the system was already badly infected by viruses and Antivirus failed to install in a normal way and setup closes automatically during extraction.

You can check the same for other vendors also.

Repairing the Windows

After cleaning the system, if you want to repair the Windows do the following in the Administrator Account

1) Go to MyComputer and Right click on the System Drive usually C drive and navigate to Tool tab, then click on "Check Now" under the option "Error-Checking". A new window appear and select the option "Automatically fix file system errors". Restart the system if needed.

2) Insert the CD/DVD from which you installed the Windows. This must be same as you use for recent installation.

3) Go to Run and Type "sfc /scannow" without quotes and press Enter. A new window is opened showing progress, let it finished and then restart the PC again.

From all above mentioned methods, hopefully there is no need to re-install Windows and you will successfully install Antivirus or any softwares.

Important Instructions:

1) If you re-install Windows on an infected system, then either disable System Restore for all drives before installing new Windows or disable and then re-enable System restore after new installation but before opening any drive.

2) After cleaning the system, hopefully you will successfully install any Antivirus, but don't forget to Update it fully and configure it properly for optimum protection, and then again re-scan your system for safe side with the installed Antivirus software.
