One of the most thrilling projects I've worked on for the Heimdal blog is this roundup. :D

The topic was proposed by one of readers and the experts who participated passionately shared their perspective on this hot topic. There are 32 of them and I know that some are quite long, but I assure you that they're worth reading. At least from my perspective. ;)

I'd love to hear what you think about it, when you get a chance to read it!

Reassuring to hear universal resolve and commitment from so many IT/network managers and security specialists. The comments are extraordinarily enlightening and interesting. It would be nice if every IT manager could see and read these comments. I won't spoil the comments, but I was a little bit surprised overall by the answers. Thankyou for the blog work.

Must admin i didn't read all of this. My patience is far less.

Though my opinion is that internet security always was and always will be a losing battle. Like every war it has casualties and your goal is to minimize those as much as possible. Also not all are meant for war and will fare worse than the rest.

So glad to hear that! I too felt the dedication behind these words and I think we all need to talk to one another about this from time to time.

I'd like to further pursue this topic, so thank you for sharing your thoughts on the roundup! It's highly appreciated.

I think Internet Security is an infinite battle, because there are always humans to take into account, and their not safe behavior.

Well, according to some experts, the fight is endless: for example the same day that an antivirus updates its database, thousands of new and unknown malware are online.

For other people it is a lost battle: eliminate the threats that every day are on the network is impossible.

From my point of view it is a continuous struggle and for its nature, so it has to be, never let your guard down.
You try to imagine a scenario without security, it would be total chaos, this means that something works even though the war will never be won.
