Back in April we reported that Kaspersky was able to recover some of the private decryption keys for both the CoinVault and BitCryptor ransomware infections and were offering them on their NoRansom page. Unfortunately, at that time Kaspersky only had about 800 keys and many of the people who used their tool couldn't find their decryption key. Recently, Kaspersky along with the Netherlands Police arrested the CoinVault developers and were able recover the rest of the keys. On October 28th, Kaspersky released the remaining 14 thousand private decryption keys on their NoRansom web page.
If you were infected by BitCryptor or Coinvault ransomware infections and still have your encrypted files, then you may be able to use their decryptor to retrieve your key and decrypt your files.
