A new Windows 7 update called KB4493132 has been released and is used to display notifications that remind users that Windows 7 will reach its end of life starting on January 14th, 2020. These notifications contain a link that goes to a Microsoft page suggesting that users upgrade to Windows 10.

Microsoft seems to have the knack for bringing back features we love to hate. Yesterday, we had Clippy released for Microsoft Teams and now we have an update that to some will feel reminiscent of the GWX notifications that annoyed people when Windows 10 came out.

These notifications will start to show on April 18th 2019 and will state the following message and contain a Learn More link to a Windows 7 End of Life Information article. The notification also include a checkbox that allows you configure the program to not show you the alert again in the future, which is described further later in the article.
