LifeLock is now part of Symantec

We are excited to announce that LifeLock, a leader in identity theft protection, is now part of Symantec, the global leader in cybersecurity and parent company of Norton.

In the coming months, Norton and LifeLock will work together to develop new solutions that redefine what safety means in a connected world. We will ensure a seamless transition without any interruption of your current Norton and LifeLock offerings and, when the time comes, we’ll let you know about the exciting new ways we’ll continue to serve you.

For answers to questions about the Norton and LifeLock partnership, please see the below FAQs and our Norton Support FAQ.

Norton and LifeLock FAQs

I need help with my LifeLock service.

Since the joining of Norton and LifeLock was just completed, our systems are not yet integrated. Please call LifeLock directly at 1-855-993-1976 or www.lifelock.com. We are working on an integration plan so that our customers reap the benefits of our joining together as one company as swiftly as possible.

How will the LifeLock acquisition impact my Norton identity theft protection service?

We hope you are enjoying your Norton identity theft protection services. In order to provide an industry leading digital safety platform and be your best ally against both cybercriminals and identity theft, we have recently joined forces with LifeLock, an industry leader in personal identity theft protection services. There will be no interruption to your service, and any future changes will be communicated to you in advance.

When the time comes for renewal of my Norton identity theft protection services, will the service be renewed with LifeLock or Norton?

The Norton identity theft protection offerings are only available on a limited basis. At this time, no changes are planned for your current Norton subscription terms – you will continue to receive the protection you are subscribed to today. There will be no interruption to your service, and any future changes will be communicated to you in advance.

Will I lose all the data that I have on my Norton identity theft protection account once I move to LifeLock?

Currently, the Norton identity theft protection services and LifeLock services are two separate platforms. If you switch from one platform to another today, you would need to re-enter your data.

I have Norton and LifeLock products, can they be combined with the same billing date?

Since the acquisition of LifeLock was just completed, our systems are not yet integrated. We are working on an integration plan so our customers reap the benefits of us joining together as one company as swiftly as possible. If you have additional questions about LifeLock products or services, please call LifeLock directly at 1-855-993-1976 or www.lifelock.com.

I would like to move from my Norton identity theft protection service to LifeLock, could you process a refund for my Norton subscription?

Our recommendation is to continue using Norton identity theft protection services for the remainder of your subscription. A seamless transition for our customers is a top priority as we integrate Norton and LifeLock offerings.

However, if your purchase is eligible for a refund under the Return Policy, please reach out to Norton Support for assistance.

I have Norton Security and LifeLock. Are the offerings redundant? Do I need both?

Norton Security provides comprehensive coverage to help secure your devices against a variety of potential cyberattacks. But identity theft doesn’t only happen online, or on your devices. It could happen when you give your credit card to a waiter at the neighborhood restaurant. It could happen if someone steals your mail. It could happen in form of medical ID theft in which all your data at your physician’s computer is stolen.

LifeLock identity theft protection leverages proprietary technology that scans millions of transactions every second looking for threats to your identity. You will be alerted if your data is found suspiciously used. And in case you have been a victim of identity theft, LifeLock provides U.S. based restoration specialists dedicated to your case from start to finish. The Service Guarantee provides for lawyers and experts if needed, to help resolve your case, as well as reimbursement for stolen funds up to the limit of your LifeLock membership.

If you have additional questions about LifeLock products or services, please call LifeLock directly at 1-855-993-1976 or www.lifelock.com.
