Opera for Android as indeed an excellent choice. If you want an even lighter one, then try Opera Mini.
I use them both daily, and I am very happy with them, so I definitely recommend them. There is also the discover feature built in, so if you are interested in a variety of news articles, you may try that also. With Turbo enabled, you really see the difference when you are on slow or bad connections.
If you want to go to sites that require flash (livestream sites that don't have an html5 player yet for example), then Puffin Browser is worth a try.
