A lot of people over here like to tweak their privacy protection to the max. Trouble with blocking to much is that online payments can go wrong. One way of dealing with this balancing problem is to use two different browser profiles (one in high privacy mode, the other in loose mode with no or fewer blacklists).

I though it might be an idea to share our knowledge on this by posting the online services which handle these online transactions and payments per country. So in next post I will share what services operate in the Netherlands. So when a member (from Holland) knows one I have forgotten that member can simply reply to that post and his/her addition. A member for Norway would create a new post, when another member from Morway woudl know another one he/she could reply on the Norwegian post. This way we organically collect what websites to allow.

Dutch transaction and payment handlers
(often a website links to the service which handles the transaction who will rout them to the payment service).

  • buckaroo.nl
  • curopayments.com
  • ideal.nl
  • mollie.com
  • multisafepay.com
  • onlinepaymentplatform.com
  • pay.nl
  • paypal.com
  • sisow.nl

Obviously you also have to enable/whitelist you own bank also (but you known the name of the website of your own bank, so no need to repeat it here)

I only need Paypal, anything else I don't trust.

If something goes wrong I can easily get a refund through Paypal without involving my bank.
