It comes with a pre-defined whiltelist that allows a dozen popular sites to play videos, see Spoiler.

Get Extension: McAfee® Web Boost
McAfee® Web Boost is a browser extension that speeds up your web-browsing and helps save your data and battery life by stopping annoying auto-playing videos.

How is Web Boost different from Google Chrome auto-play support?
Web Boost stops auto-playing videos even if the video audio is muted. It also makes it easy for you to personalize your settings if you want to see auto-playing videos on some websites. The Chrome feature can be difficult to turn on, it can't pause an auto-playing video that has muted audio, and it doesn't let you personalize settings outside of Chrome's Media Engagement Index (MEI).

I have not tried the extension. But I have good words on App Boost feature; it really speeds up programs launching times.
