I have appcheck antiransomware free installed, wich has exploit guard for MS edge...you think that causes it?

Anyways even without the exploit guardian brought by microsoft, do you think edge developer / canary are enough stable to use for banking/ browsing and i can have peace of mind of removing chrome :emoji_thinking:
It's quite stable. Current Dev version has a bug where it sometimes won't maximize if you click on the icon in the Taskbar. You have to click on the preview window. Bugs are expected of course.

But do you recommend either staying chrome, developer edge or even canary edge? doubt edge has any major issues..

No experience with Canary. Using Edge Dev here. Very fast, faster than Brave. + it has Smartscreen. Enable AppContainer in Edge:Flags and uBO. For banking use uBO in Medium Mode (block 3rd party scripts/frames). I trust it enough that I've already set as my default browser. (y)

Only bug I've noticed about Edge Dev. - I have to refresh startup page (StartPage) several times to connect to internet. o_O Weird!

And this question/issue: it does not protect passwords from showing by asking for Windows password. I don't save passwords usually but I thought Chrome and all Chromium browsers do this. Even Brave doesn't at least for me, and I was informed it should.

Settings/Language There is a toggle "Offer to translate pages that aren't in languages you read"
Not in mine, but Microsoft Translator integration in Chromium-based Microsoft Edge - gHacks Tech News seems to think they roll out different features to different users of same version - dev or canary.

What about password protection in the browser? Does your version require Windows login to "Show" passwords? It's supposed to be in Chrome and Chromium builds. I don't have this feature in Edge Dev or in Brave.

I haven't tested that. I have been testing the sync problems so I´m always logged in, here is a creenshot of the translation option:

@Moonhorse,
Yes probably that is the guard DLL of AppCheck. I use a Windows10 WD as main defense (with WD Configurator some WD exploit protection tweaks and WD protected folders ransomware protection) with OS Armor blocking all outside safe folders which is not signed by Microsoft on my Desktop and Hardconfigurator (in stead of OSArmor) on my Asus Transformer (it only has Z3740 CPU so it is better to use build-in security).

I use old Edge still for online banking etc. Waiting for final of Edge-chromium to use it for secure transactions (I will add a seperate user profile for online banking).
