As part of today's Patch Tuesday, Microsoft has released the Windows 10 KB4515384 cumulative update that fixes a high CPU usage issue in Cortana's SearchUI.exe process.
After installing last month's Windows 10 KB4512941 cumulative update, some users started reporting that the Windows Desktop Search results were coming up blank and that Cortana had high CPU usage or sudden CPU spikes.
With today's KB4515384 update, users can just install the update and fix the issue while still keeping web search disabled.
Then again, installing this update may cause other unanticipated issues, so be ready for anything!
