Will this be good to test malware on? Or is it more dangerous than doing it in an actual VM?

Windows had a feature kinda like this years ago. It was not part of the OS but their stand alone product. It was the XP days but I used it and it was more like how Shadow Defender works if I remember right. Look at the link from 2005. go down to figure 3, number 7 and you can read how it got rid of all system and program files on reboot.
