Microsoft is getting ready to kick up the Bing search experience with a tad of help from HTML5.

The Bing Preview Site is now live, promising that users will be able to take advantage of a new way to search.

In fact, the invitation from the Redmond company is to “Preview a new Bing experience with HTML 5.”

“We've created this site to explore the ways in which the latest browser technology enables us to make Bing an even more visual, immersive, and seamless search experience,” the software giant explained.

There are at least three features which the new HTML5 Bing Preview site will enable users to test drive, including instant search, one of the advantages that Google has over Microsoft’s decision / search engine.

“New features in the Bing Preview include: search previews as you type; animations that make search come alive; seamless transitions between pages,” the company said.

Of course, in order to actually test the new HTML5 Bing Preview site, users will need to use a modern browser which supports the standard.

The software giant’s first choice in this regard is bound to be Internet Explorer 9, but the company seems ready to recommend additional HTML5-ready browsers to users.
