I voted that I didn't care either way, but you have to admit they look like they were made in Miami, all that neon lol

They look like a huge improvement from the previous ones. Won't matter much for those that use superior icon packs, though.

I'd rather have icons for most of the apps installed... rather than just a few.

I voted I don't care. As long as I can access my apps on phone/tablet, it doesn't matter to me. Plus they look fine to me. Not overly fancy (which is a plus for me).

The design created another uniqueness considering that a play button will signify more meaning.

Cosmetic, dont really care.
From a business related point of view however, this should be implemented a while ago, to ensure proper "pattern" (missing the exact word at the moment) across the board.

I like the latest Google app icon its very attractive and color used are very bright and dimension is also good.
