This coming Tuesday, Microsoft is scheduled to release its latest monthly patches and security updates for various products. Its official security bulletin doesn't have any details of what is contained in the patches, other than there will be nine of them and that three will be of a critical nature.
The patches will be released for software such as Windows, SharePoint, Office, Office for Mac, and Internet Explorer 9. It's the last one that's perhaps the most interesting. PCWorld.com reports that Microsoft just released a patch for IE 9 in June and that the company usually releases IE patches every two months. Andrew Storms, director of security operations for nCircle, says of the IE 9 patch, "It's pretty safe to say this bulletin will patch something pretty serious."
