A senior Nokia executive in China recently confirmed that new Nokia handsets are coming, as part of its plans to return to the smartphone and tablet game, according to a report by The Paper, a Chinese publication.

Mike Wang, Nokia's president of the joint management team in China, stated that there will be at least three to four new devices from the company, which will be launched later in the year. They will be reportedly split between new smartphone and tablet launches.

The report comes as a further confirmation to Nokia's announcement that it will finally make a comeback to the smartphone market back in May.

The new products from Nokia will be designed by Finnish firm HMD, which seems to have been used by the company in order to make its return to the smartphone industry. This was after it sold its devices and services division to Microsoft, along with the license to use the Nokia name for feature phones until this year. The devices will then be manufactured by Foxconn.

Wang did not specify any details regarding the company's comeback gizmos. However, rumors indicate that Nokia is preparing two premium phones, which will both be powered by Google's Android 7.0 Nougat OS. They are reported to feature 5.2 and 5.5-inch QHD OLED displays, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 22.6-megapixel rear camera, and a metallic body with water and dust resistance.

Nokia was rumored to return to the smartphone market ever since its devices division was acquired by Microsoft. However, the company was initially silent regarding this claim, but eventually confirmed it over time. Despite this, aside from focusing on telecommunications, it has also unveiled a number of products, like the Nokia N1 and the Ozo. Back in April, it set its sights on the Internet of Things withits acqusition of Withings.

Well Nokia indeed should focus on Android phones, remember that people nowadays wants two different OS. One which is customizable and other one is such fine and simple but not lesser features.
