Novice looking at Sandboxie.
Win 10
Checked SB website and found that app is listed as incompatible with KIS 2017 (which I am running).
Is that still the case?

Not sure if related - although most websites do open up in Sandboxie/Firefox with KIS...Google (GMail), Facebook and some other won't ('secure connection' issue).

Any advice would be appreciated.

I didn't tried it since KIS 2017 slows down everything (and I have an i7, 8GB RAM, SSD).
Anyway Sandboxie KnownConflicts section says:

For Windows 8/8.1 & Win 10 -KS 2015 and 2016/2017 is not compatible with Sandboxie. Kaspersky must NOT be installed, otherwise Sandboxie will not work.

IT'S BEST TO NOT HAVE ANY KASPERSKY PRODUCTS INSTALLED. DISABLING WILL NOT WORK. We've instructed KIS what they need to change in their code, at this time, they have not. Thus, their code disrupts Sandboxie.

So it is useless to install Sandboxie with KIS, even if your pc doesn't crash, sandboxie will not work well/at all and you will be more vulnerable than without sandboxie. Consider that they are pretty clear, and you don't know what is the level of incompatibility (it may appear to work well, but you are not protected). I will certainly avoid it, but the choice is up to you

Thanks for the replies.
Will hold off until v. '18 and see if the issue was 'fixed'.

I am using Sandboxie too and honestly I'm experiencing problems of various nature.
The last of them: SBIE2101 error (or something similar) by opening Chrome.
I solved and the problem was that I had disabled the web sites access to the microphone in Chrome settings, so the error was related to audio drivers.

BTW a good alternative is Shadow Defender that virtualizes all the current Windows session until the next reboot.
