I so hate to see ESET employees publicly make excuses
Lmao, me too:D but you know that Eset is free so I support it.also, the Eset results are not bad! +90% security effectiveness! more than enough for a home user.

Such crap to " BUY " the results of the tests. Absolutely hate companies that do this. So i dont give these tests much credit.

I so hate to see ESET employees publicly make excuses and whine about everything, be it on their own forums, here, or in official responses
like this helps their image at all.
My thoughts exactly. If the product is solid it should stand up to any test no matter how sudden or how involved ESET were in the test, or not involved in this case.

During the 2018 NSS Labs AEP Test, NSS Labs encountered a CylanceOPTICS™ bug which impacted the CylanceOPTICS behavioral engine. This issue was immediately recognized and addressed within 12 hours and does not impact CylanceOPTICS customers.

Recognizing that the bug had prejudiced Cylance’s initial performance and overall placement in test, NSS worked closely with our team to rectify the issue and commenced with retesting of CylancePROTECT® plus CylanceOPTICS.

In the original test, Cylance obtained a Security Effectiveness score of 92.1%. In the retest, Cylance achieved Security Effectiveness rating of 99.1% average across all attack variants. The results of this second public test would have elevated Cylance significantly in the NSS SVM; however, the SVM is published as tested. While this bug was unfortunate, the validation of the fixes demonstrates once again the effectiveness of the Cylance solution when compared with all others examined in the NSS AEP Test.
