Less than a week following the GeForce 388.00 WHQL drivers' release, Nvidia is already back with the new GeForce 388.13 WHQL drivers.

The new Game Ready drivers bring along optimizations for the recently released Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus by Bethesda, which should make taking out Nazis a much smoother experience. Moreover, optimizations for three additional games set to arrive in November are also included in these drivers, them being Call of Duty: WWII (November 3), Nioh: Complete Edition (November 7), and Need for Speed Payback (November 10).

Nvidia has also added new SLI profiles or tweaked the existing ones for Lawbreakers, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Snake Pass. Meanwhile, the list of fixed issues in this driver is pretty short, probably due to the number of high-profile games being optimized:
  • There is no display on the second monitor.
  • Yellow bang appears by the graphics entry in Device Manager.
  • (Notebook, MS Hybrid, HDR): On Hybrid systems where the discrete GPU drives the primary display, there is momentary corruption before a streaming game goes into full-screen mode.
And here are the known issues in this driver for users on Windows 10 to keep an eye out for:
  • (SLI, GeForce GTX 780 Ti): There is no display output when connecting the DisplayPort and two DVI monitors.
  • (GeForce TITAN (Kepler-based)): The OS fails after installing the graphics card on a Threadripper-enabled motherboard.
  • (Windows 10 Fall Creators Update): Color settings made in the NVIDIA Control Panel are not preserved across a system reboot or restart.
The 388.13 WHQL driver can now be downloaded via the GeForce Experience Windows app or by using the links listed below. The driver's release notes can be found here.

32-bit version: Windows 10 | Windows 8.1, 8 and 7
64-bit version: Windows 10 | Windows 8.1, 8 and 7 | Nvidia

Nvidia need to get their act together releasing drivers that are bugged!
This has been an ongoing issue with them, and it's an annoyance clean installing and reinstalling!
