Hello,

I've found this new antiphishing extension, it seems interesting, especially the feature of the original target recommendations.

The extension can say which site is trying to mimic the current visited website.

Firefox page: Off the hook - Version: 1.1

Chrome page: Off the hook - Version: 1.26.11

This extension looks pretty cool:cool:. It probably does something like scan the page to check if it's copying the PayPal logos and any descriptions which are exclusive to PayPal's site and of course the same for other service like Google Drive.. I mean it'd be suspicious for a website to have written on it "Whether it’s for rooftop cinema sessions or pedalos in the park, PayPal is the easy way to pay back your friends.", since that's a real description on the genuine PP site, why would another site need it (its exclusive to their site!)? Especially if it had the PayPal logo added and other similar stuff then.. obvious fake webpage score!:)

Maybe it's score based.. So if it has the PayPal logo and copies descriptions and for other stuff it adds +1 to it and when it reaches a level it blocks?:)

Thanks for the share @JM Security :)
Looks interesting...
It does say:
-- IMPORTANT --
This extension rely on another component that you need to install in your laptop. You can download this application at Off the hook

It appears legit though,I think:confused:
Its by "Aalto Secure System Group"

"The goal of the Secure Systems research group is to create new technologies and design and analysis methods for the development of secure computing and communication systems. The new technologies should be, at the same time, secure, easy to use, and inexpensive to deploy. As is typical for security research, our results also include the discovery of novel attacks and previously unknown classes of vulnerabilities in existing systems. Security against malicious attacks is a basic requirement for all network-connected services and products, and scientific research can provide both fundamental understanding of the security issues and practical solutions that enable product development.
