The key to unlocking OnePlus’ style of keynote lay in the section of the show where the OnePlus 6 specifications were revealed. This was not going to be a big part of the presentation, it’s only goig to be sixty seconds long. And it was, with Pei rattling through details such as the SnapDragon 845, storage and memory options before ending with a cheeky nod that the 3.5mm headphone jack would remain in place. From a practical point of view, pretty much every high-end Android handset is going to be carrying these specifications with only minor variations depending on the manufacturer's preferences. OnePlus’s primary sales pitch has moved on from providing flagship specifications at affordable price. It’s now about design, it’s about fashion, and it’s about community.
