Hello

Let's find out if a site that you would like to visit is dangerous or not.

The proliferation of Web sites, many of which are clones from original are used for phishing or not legal activity, not always leaves doubt whether the address that we are about to open is it safe or contains more or less serious problems.

Let's see some sites, where you can enter Web addresses which we doubt, that will show us if we can go to that site without running (too many) risks.

To do this test I used a known phishing site, I posted in the various websites to see how they evaluate.

The site is: hxxp://rainbowmortgage.com/doc/share/2015/

Some sites have been old analysis, if the Web address has already been checked, it is better to always repeat them because the results may be very different. After a few hours, things change a lot.

VirusTotal : https://www.virustotal.com/

VirusTotal provides a service with many sources from which to draw information on the degree of hazardousness of a site, but does not offer many additional details.

UrlVoid : http://www.urlvoid.com/

The UrlVoid site is unable to parse http addresses consisting of only numbers and if the link of the phishing site has a name too long can not control it.
Among the additional information we can know where you find the server, useful in case both located in countries highly suspect.

Norton Safe Web : https://safeweb.norton.com/

Norton Safe Web has all very colourful warnings depending on the type of problem found, indicates only the location of the server, but little or no useful information.

Sucuri SiteCheck : https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/

Sucuri SiteCheck reports update problems of any component of the web server that hosts the site, however it seems to me more like an advertising page where we invite you to use their services, for a fee, to solve the problems of the finished website in blacklist.

Scanurl : http://www.scanurl.net

Scanurl relies on only 3 services and further down the page displaying the Other Resources to analyze your site from other services.

Mcafee SiteAdvisor : http://www.siteadvisor.com/

With McAfee SiteAdvisor we site reported as dangerous but it is not known why.

TrendMicro SiteSafety : http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/index.php

TrendMicro SiteSafety provides some additional indication on Web address hazards analyzed.

WOT : https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard

WOT is available as an extension for the leading browser, uses the wide community to evaluate the sites visited.

This voluntary participation is its strength, but also its limit, the alerts are many, but some are very approximate and can lead to dubious results.

As you can see, sometimes the results are unclear and important details are not shown.
I recommend that you check a suspicious link on more sites so you can have different opinions.

Regards. :)
