Remove Windows XP End of Life Message Utility free and useful

Download Remove Windows XP End of Life Message Utility here:http://www.techygeekshome.co.uk/2014/07/remove-windows-xp-end-of-life-messages.html

About:
Remove Windows XP End of Life Message Utility can be used to remove the Windows XP end of life error messages that you get after you have installed the Windows updates that apply them.

Windows XP expired its support on the 8th of April 2014 and these warning messages can be very annoying. By using this utility you can remove them and stop them appearing again. Please ensure that you read the instructions on how to use this program fully before use.

You can use this program to remove the Windows XP message and the Microsoft Security Essentials message.

This tool does for you what you can do in the command prompt (DOS) if you know how to do that.

Open the command prompt:

To remove Windows XP end of life messages enter:
wusa.exe /uninstall /norestart /KB:2934207

Removing Microsoft Security Essentials is also your best bet but if you decide to keep it enter:
wusa.exe /uninstall /norestart /KB:2949787

Reboot for these changes to take effect.

If you removed Microsoft Security Essentials you can look for another free anti-virus here. Typically, Avast, Avira, Panda Cloud, Comodo or AVG are the more popular free anti-virus choices.

Limitations:
There is one problem with removing the Microsoft Security Essentials end of life message. If you have already installed Version 4.5.216.0 then you cannot remove this message. Also, eventually, your system will update to this version so the best thing to do is to uninstall MSE. If you have not yet installed Version 4.5.216.0 then this utility will work for you for the MSE part. The Windows end of life message should be able to be removed without issue using this utility. You must have Dot Net 2.0 installed for this to work.
