According to Samsung Ukraine’s website, the Galaxy Note will be getting its Jelly Bean update starting March 1. The Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S II is already available in some places (like Spain and China), and here Samsung Ukraine says it’s not landing in its region until March 3. As a result, perhaps we should take that dates as a “worst possible scenario”, and expect the update to launch earlier in other regions.

Great,so by the time Samsung will release the Jelly Bean update, Google will release another versio of Android.... Wonder why it takes so long for these phone manufactures to release the updates to the its users....

PS. My next phone will be a Nexus! ;)

It will surely get, but I think they don't have information about the release date. I am also waiting for my Mini 2 to get it. :D

@Jack: You forgot the bloatware is added to those ROMs. :D Nexus all the way. :D
Google should also slow down the rate at which a new OS version is released and take their time to fill it with features and fix bugs. And LOL Galaxy Tab 8.9 got ICS a week ago. :D

Google releases the software, but it's up to the hardware giants to deploy them?

Yes, but if they didn't release the updates, users may be dissatisfied. Sometimes there are compatibility issues, but most of the time I think it is an excuse because they don't know how to fix some bugs or just lazy.

For example, Samsung says Galaxy S Plus is incompatible with ICS. I have seen at XDA an ICS ROM and even a Jelly bean one! They are almost very stable. But still, Nexus devices are the best if you want to keep your OS updated at the right time.

Those companies should hire people from XDA. :D
