If you value security over your privacy, you might applaud the US Senate's vote Tuesday to pass the controversial Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA).

The bill allows companies to voluntarily share evidence of cyberattacks with the US government, without fear of lawsuits if that information also violates your privacy. Proponents say CISA makes it easier for the government to coordinate threat information and responses across the companies and organizations that need it. Opponents, including Apple and more than 20 other leading tech companies, say the bill could give the government even greater leeway to spy on US citizens.

could give the (U.S.) government even greater leeway to spy on US citizens.

Patriot Act already grants full authority to spy on US citizen. All they have do to invoke Patriot Act is to state that they suspect you of being involved in anything that can potentially harm homeland security.

I think privacy is the most important thing since we are "free". Nowadays, privacy is dead as well as our freedom. Everybody wants your data, to spy on you.

In digital age there is no such thing as privacy. Most governments think access to data is an entitlement.

Only way to stay private today is not to exist... move to deep forest, get two sticks, rub together hard, see if you can get spark... and stay put.
