I would think that's how it would work. That would explain why we have so many guests this late at night.
They all are trying to learn new things from me. They aren't after freebies. They want to pick my brain.

Yes, well anyone who visit here are all guest as long you sign in, eveything were track down on the online list.

I didn't sign up for the free stuff, I joined up for knowledge. That you all have and I don't. The only way that I will learn is to follow a crazy random pattern, as I know basically: nothing... the more I wander around, the more I begin to piece together. Terms that are completely normal to you are 100% greek to me. For example, this forum: http://malwaretips.com/threads/google-chrome-look-alike-virus.40885/

Right now, I am OK, kinda, on this computer. No current infections that I am aware of. But, when there were systems crashed by overloads a few months back, ? Sept./Oct..?, I did notice that my machine mostly wouldn't run, and my modem was extremely busy. It was my belief that somehow, someone stole control of it and was using it. Then, I read the news about the overloads, caused by a zillion hits, and it is still my belief that somehow, this quadrant of the US, or this county, or this server, or this computer was used in that effort.
So, I am randomly all over. One day, I hope to not feel the need to do that. I welcome MT very much into my life! I have been to sites where I had to sign up, and never went back. If y'all are here for just each other, and not to help those less knowledgeable than you, then what would be the point? It might be a good, friendly social club, like where we discuss guitars..., but I am here because you are so welcoming and ready to help. I have learned much already...about what is in the configuration of this computer. I really WANT to learn about what makes this computer tick, and I have credit card info on here, from purchases, and I don't feel safe- I don't think they are protected. So, thanks for being here.

(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). - Make sure that Addition option is checked.

This is why I am here, and why I am running all over the place. To learn. To learn to be unafraid of this machine tying up my life for days and days, trying to figure out why it slowed down, or why it is popping up porn, or why I was unable to remove (something) from the computer that is on my floor, and so, there it sits.

The other thing is: I rarely have any daytime to do this, just too busy, too much life, too much to learn, and too much ordering to do for things... and need to stop to eat occasionally...LOLHi! @tallorder I'm the author of this thread(topic). The site has grown and I believe a lot of people stayed here after getting their PC cleaned up and are now here to learn like yourself. Take your time to learn how the forum works. I'm sure you will find plenty to keep you as busy as you want to be. I'm to windy, to friendly, to much information, and to old, but they let me stay around.

Hi! You will get responses from staff if they think they can help you with your replies. Only our trained members are allowed to help members in the malware section, so that's probably not a good place for you to learn. Not knowing your computer skills, it's hard for me to tell you where to start. If you have a issue, you can start your own topic and I'm sure we have a member here that is waiting to help you!!

It is a great place to learn, if I just read and listen. If I think I need help, will absolutely go to appropriate forum and only listen to the 'experts!' LOL
Hi! As I have stated way to many times. MT is a forum to help with security. How to set up your security and to clean your PC if you weren't secure enough. MT has two of the best malware fighters. MT also has the best AV and security testers. I'm hoping we can grow in the future and add more to the forum. I know we have some smart members here that can help with about any issue you might have. I have seen them do it. If you read this and have a issue, please start a topic and see if someone here has the answer for you. I'm betting they will!
We also keep you up to date with what's going on in the PC world. Join in and get your feet wet. No one will judge you here at MT
