If I can recall correctly, Spybot Search & Destroy was relevant a few years ago. I was just wondering if the free edition of the program is still any good and sufficient enough as a second-opinion scanner? Cheers!
It was famous a decade ago, an excellent anti-spyware, when spyware were relevant, now it is just another obsolete soft that can't keep up with the actual threatscape and just surviving grace to its renown.
Road that MBAM is taking right now.
It is an relic from old days, which refuses to die decently, like MBAM should. A good product gets 2-3 good years and unless it evolves, it fades out, like Spybot, Ewido, Superantispyware. Some manage to hold on by becoming better like AdAware, others struggle to survive like AVG and Avast.
By the way, this says it all, they actually separate anti-virus and anti-spyware.
Do you all recommend I remove this software from my computer? Is there any tests that show this software is insufficient? Also, any thoughts on the immunization feature?
