Get your wallet out, gamers: Valve's Steam platform just launched a Lunar New Year Sale.

The latest Steam sale offers discounts on thousands of games now through Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. PT.

Today's highlighted deals include 50 percent off Elite Dangerous (now just $14.99), 75 percent off the Total War franchise, 20 percent off Undertale (now $7.99), 50 to 75 percent off Sid Meier's Civilization franchise, 20 percent off Hurtworld (now $19.99), and 25 percent off Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (now $44.49). There are tons of other discounted titles to choose from — 9,317 in fact — so head over to the Steam Store to find something new.

Meanwhile on the gaming sales front, we have good news for fans of charity-focused digital bundle seller Humble Bundle. Destructoid on Friday reported that Humble Bundle is now funding its own original games. The so-called Humble Originals will initially be available exclusively as part of Humble Bundle's $12 monthly subscription service, Humble Monthly.

Humble Bundle co-founder John Graham told the news outlet that more than 70,000 people have already subscribed for the Humble Monthly service, which launched in October, giving the company enough cash flow to fund these small titles.

"We can make meaningful deals with game developers to secure great content, we get to write our featured charity a $30,000+ check, and, because we can predict revenues fairly accurately, we've even started funding some small gaming projects, Humble Originals, that you won't find anywhere else and that our subscribers will get to play first," Graham said.

The first Humble Original, dubbed Elephant in the Room, is available as part of February's lineup of Humble Monthly games, which also includes Alien: Isolation, Titan Souls, Broken Age, Volume, Penarium, and Dropsy.
