Hey guys, Aura here.

So I don't know if that thread already exists but if it does, feel free to close this one and link me the current one please.

I thought it would be a good idea if we could see everyone's installed softwares and programs, like what we use and for what, just so we can discover new programs that we might want to use and get to know each other based on the programs we use. How does it sound ?

In order to do this, we'll download and use MiniToolBox to output a list of the programs installed on our system. If you post this list directly in this thread, please use the spoiler tags as the output list is quite lenghty. Otherwise, you can copy/paste the content of the output log on Pastebin.com and post the link here.

Here's the walkthrough :

  • Download MiniToolBox;
  • Execute it;
  • Check the "List Installed Programs" checkbox;
  • Click on "Go";
  • Copy/paste the content of the output log on PasteBin and post the link in this thread or post the output directly in this thread using the spoiler tags please;

I'll get started to break the ice :

Aura's installed programs list, on Pastebin

Now it's your turn guys, let's get some lists going !

Thanks for your list of installed software, including version numbers @Aura now I can target you with hacks designed specifically to exploit the software that's on your computer :D

Adobe Reader 11.0.07 ~ Now I can craft a malicious PDF file especially for you without worrying about including multiple infection vectors :D

The dangers of posting lists of software publically should not be underestimated ;)

I didn't have time to update my software lately I know I'm being careless. Me knowing what I do on the Web and having a pretty beast security setup saves my ass by just a few.

And I assume that everyone is cool with everyone here. I would be ready to post my full name, picture and IP address, lol.

Lol, you're safe around here and of course I was only making a wider point about the kind of innocent information that can be misused. I wouldn't advise you to post any personal details publically, as this site is indexed and publically accessible to anyone, including people who aren't so cool ;)

But yeah, so long as you're not winding up anybody who might want to hack you, I would say you'd be fine :D

I posted most of my personal information (including pictures of me) on HF and believe it or not, no one doxed me yet for some reason, haha.
And yes, I know even the smallest details as the version or build number of an application can lead to someone finding exploits for that specific version and use it. It's easy as hell to do and can be done with a simple Google search query but meh, let's be open here with each other haha ! Or people could use the hide tags if they exist here.

Haha, the guys at HF probably wouldn't have a clue how to dox someone lol :D Bunch of n00bs and skiddies if you ask me. I'd say if you want to disclose private info, do it over PM with people you trust :)

@WinXPert , I was about to tell you "outdated Java" but I remembered that Oracle stopped supporting Java for Windows XP at their last release.
How come you still run Windows XP ?

This is a low spec 11 year old netbook. Hardware is not up to spec. I have a Win 7 rig but I'm not using it. Just gathering dusts.

I'm just running Windows XP SP1a with IE6. I don't trust Microsoft, so I won't be updating my OS with any "so-called" updates (NSA malware) or upgrades. I forgot what version, but it's the Flash Player that came with the computer, when I bought the PC in 2003. Running a extended version of McAfee Antivirus Plus, valid until 2020. :D :D
