Hi, thanks for mention bro, just installing Emsisoft have removed mbam today, have mbam premium (that I uninstalled today) but not sure if I'm going to get license for EmsiSoft so probably will be uninstalling it after a month, + have to change my laptop so thinking trying some new things I can at the moment, right from my next setup I intend to use Sophos Virus Removal Tool as ondemand scanner, yup at the moment I've EmsiSoft Antimaleware as secondary scanner.

Hi @Tani

I would add the browser´s extensions Wot, LastPass and Ghostery and a second browser as Cyberfox or Opera.

Kind regards
My old passwords are stored via keypass locally in my drive while current chrome settings, bookmarks & daily used passwords are synced via my google account with two steps authentication enabled as well as with custom pass phrase, while my all social media & primary email accounts are also protected via two step authentication, I think these might be secure enough?
Have opera (latest) as well but I rarely use it instead use chrome's incognito window.
Edit: I've HTTPS Everywhere as well, will be considering to research on your suggested ones as well today (have used ghostery in past it's obviously awesome one) :)

o_O are you using two antiviruses at the same time??? or i just dont understand, is not a good idea to have 2 AV running at the same time.. or you are talking about EEK??? if you like EAM just PM when your trial has experied.

also bitdefender traffic light will be another great add on

No bro using one anti virus can never use two anti viruses, instead of mbam I'm using emsisoft anti maleware, while eset smart security is complete security tool specially anti virus & firewall. + Sophos Virus Removal tool is standalone portable software that can be used like weekly or monthly on your wish to scan the system, these tools can be used without any hesitation beside real anti virus protection setup.

so you mean EEK

PST: turn off your spelling checker to write properly "antimalware"

tss me to/i use it/, 2nd authentication is a headache especially when you clean up your browser, you have to go through the process of getting a code every time the browser forget cookies.... but i think is a little price for extra security its worth the effort

Hi Tani, and thank you for sharing your configuration. It is very well thought out and secure, and I liked it!;)

I was glad to read you're using (2) step authentication!!:):D Browsing with Chrome's incognito window makes my heart feel happy too!:p
Additional adjustments I've made to Chrome begin by going to "settings".
  1. Scroll to the bottom, & under "Advanced settings" <click> "Content Settings" button
  2. Mark "Keep local data only until you close your browser"
  3. Check the box "Block third-party cookies and site data"

Hi Guys.
I'm changing my security setup after reinstalling my operating system today.
Intending to use the following programs,
ESET Smart Security 8
MBAM Premium
MBAE Free
(for Java Shield)
USB Disk Security
CCLeaner 5
(for optimization purposes)
Adblock, Ghostery, LastPass extensions in browsers (Chrome 40 64bit, Firefox 34 as secondary)
(High Contrast, Hola & Zenmate in addition that remain enabled only when I need them in chrome)
Do you think it's good enough? I do not install random softwares from unofficial sites or unknown ones so I think it's pretty enough for me.
Your opinions?

Hi Tani.
I don't think is necessary to use Eset & Mbam at the same time. Eset has very good signatures and web blocking to protect you well.
It would be better to use Mbam as ''on demand'' scanner (free version).

Thank you Mike, should I keep mbam disabled until unless I scan my pc periodically with it?

No bro, it's network monitoring software, shows which application is communicating where & is available at which location in your computer, along with total incoming & outgoing traffic.
