We are a user rights initiative to rate and label website terms & privacy policies, from very good Class A to very bad Class E.

Terms of service are often too long to read, but it's important to understand what's in them. Your rights online depend on them. We hope that our ratings can help you get informed about your rights.

Reading the Microsoft Terms of Service (and the EULA) for Windows is a trip. Even more trippy is reading Microsoft Terms of Service for other products such as OneDrive, email, Azure, VSCode, Microsoft Account, and others. The way the things are written, and what is written in them, you have virtually no chance.

Nobody bothers to read these things, but when they do they are outraged. The terms of service are atrocious for the consumer or end user.
