Thinking of switching from Mac mini to a normal tower

Hi guys,

I'd just like your advice on something. I'm thinking of selling my Mac mini and buying a normal tower and just dual booting Windows and Linux, I'll probably spend most my time on Linux. But here's the specs of my Mac mini and the tower I'm considering buying:

Mac mini:
CPU: Intel core i5 Ivy Bridge 2.5 GHz (3210M) processor with turbo boost upto 3.1ghz and 3mb cache
RAM: 16gb ddr3 1600mhz
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000
Hard drive: 500gb 5400.
Connectivity includes a Firewire "800" port, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Thunderbolt, combined "audio line in (digital/analog)" and combined "audio line out/headphone (digital/analog)" minijacks, a 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and an SDXC card slot.
