Hi everyone,

Merry Christmas to all, and hope 2021 is a better year for everyone.

This is my light and hassle-free laptop config with which I'm starting 2021.
I don't use my laptop for any "dangerous" web browsing or unknown file downloads as I mainly use it for office applications, light web browsing and content consumption. I always try to find something that will not slowdown the laptop since I only use it myself, and I installed Avast a few days ago to see how it performed because I was having some BSOD problems with it's previous versions and I really like how snappy the laptop feels with it installed (faster than Windows Defender, ESET, Kaspersky and F-Secure in my opinion).

All recommendations are welcome.

I recommend ditching Avast for just Defender or Kaspersky Security Cloud Free, Bitdefender Antivirus Free or Sophos Home Free.
I have tried Defender, Kaspersky and Bitdefender. I just like Avast for the time being, and especially the really light protection it offers. I am aware of the privacy scandals it was involved in, but it is about prioritizing some things over others (performance vs probability of info selling)
