Hi guys i recently used the virustotal application for android and it seems great to me.I believe that every android users must install this in your android device.Find out the hidden ad pushers within your app list...

"VirusTotal for Android checks the applications installed in your Android phone against VirusTotal (http://www.virustotal.com). It will inform you about malware (virus, trojans, worms) on your phone and allows you to upload any unknown applications to VirusTotal. In other words, VirusTotal for Android will get your applications scanned by more than 40 antivirus, flagging any undesired content.
Please note that VirusTotal for Android does not provide real-time protection and, so, is no substitute for any antivirus product, just a second opinion regarding your apps."

keep in mind that there are lots of false positives and common sense+virustotal will give the best result

It can be used to scan applications on your Android, on-demand as a second opinion. The product description explicitly tells you: "VirusTotal for Android does not provide real-time protection and, so, is no substitute for any antivirus product".

You should make informed decisions before installing any software/apps, you can read the reviews below:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tencent.mm

"Chinese apps are known for spying", got a source or proof? Who say's that US or other other countries don't do the same?

Also it's important to check the app privileges before installing, a suspicious app may request full access, or access to certain locations of sensitive data.
