I thought this discussion was done :poop: One side says it's 'rubbish' then the other side says, 'but I've never got infected using it'. Right..... 🥶
Hate those that commit a causal fallacy and state "well Webroot must of worked as I didn't get infected", it's like no, you either have good browsing habits or there is a threat and unsurprisingly Webroot missed it, haha.

I didn't want to react, but sorry, it's too tempting...

Quickly: Webroot is a sieve. I proved it enough.
I was already attacked by Webroot fanboy "Yes but you don't know how to test it", "your samples are too fresh" ... mdr

Really... an antivirus software MUST be able to block ALL attacks, whether they are known or not. No antivirus protects 100% of course, but I prefer to use an antivirus that will try to protect me than an antivirus that claims to protect me but doesn't.
There is no indication on the samples used, and considering the "good result" it puts forward, it must not be fresh either :D

(and we don't check for infections with Hitman Pro... it is totally useless against a script or Java infection...)

Webroot is a sieve
Couldn't agree more, I used it for a 1 year straight and kept wasting up gigabytes of unneeded space in the WRData folder, which I had to delete so many times. Was within the C:\ProgramData\WRData. When I was testing malware years back, it stopped little to nothing at that point. May as well have a plastic bag over my router which would have helped more.
