Webroot must be billionaires since most reviews that come up in search results rate them more than 3.5 stars. You think it's just PC Mag? Just look up "Webroot review" on any search engine and check out the first 5 pages of search results.
Yeah ive seen it myself, a couple of them has 3.5 stars, but most of them has 4 to 4.5, obviously paid, similar situation to the scam products that are Totalav, Scanguard and pcprotect.

They all have generic names, 99% of them have 1 review, and all of them have no profile picture, very sketchy.
Atleast some people have recognized the problem.

This is from the review at Tom's Hardware, which was on the first page of Google results. While they gave it 3.5 stars, they recommend using it alongside another antivirus, rather than on its own.
Alternatively, tests results were quite mixed, running the gamut from strong to very weak. That concerns us, particularly since antivirus software reliability is super critical. Still, some test results were satisfactory, and Webroot happens to play nicely with any other antivirus products you might have installed.

If you’re not interested in using more than one antivirus, consider a more consistent software like Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. But the option of installing Webroot alongside another antivirus program, like Windows Defender is a strong one, and using multiple programs should keep you safe from the multitude of threats out there.

As a someone who has used this extensively, please, please, please do not use this, mediocre protection and save gigabytes of files in "C:/ProgramData/WRData". Or if you really wish to use this, you can manually delete some of the files from this folder on a routine basis.
