Q&A Which Kaspersky product do you like best?

Those features are excess, and I consider them software bloat. I always keep things simple based on my actual needs.

Yes, I understand you. It all depends on what YOU consider bloating.

In my case, bloat would be VPN, Password Manager, Safe Kids among other products... modules like System Watcher are not considered bloat in my view because they are directly related to system protection.

This is not a criticism, just an observation about what people consider bloat.

As a long time of Norton (decades actually but they lost their way and I digress) I experimented with KTS 1 year ago. Then I purchased a multi device 3 year KTS subs for my home. So, If I had to name one it would be KIS, TBH I am not really enthused by the 'utliities' in KTS especially the so called cleaners. Sometimes these things do more harm than good. Next time KIS will do the job just fine.

I also want to evaluate if it's a necessity to keep System Watcher on.
If no malware enters my PC, is this necessary to keep System Watcher on?

Maybe then it would be easier to establish the basic version of Kaspersky, adding protection to third-party firewall (for example, simplewall).

I'm a big fan of Kaspersky. Unfortunately KIS slowed down my internetspeed. In all circumstances I would recommend KIS over everyone else.

I totally agree with you. I have been using KIS since its very version 6, released on 2006.

Same here. Been using KIS since version 6, changed it to KTS when i got it from an offer, used it for a year, then bought a 3-year license.
I only regret that it will be discontinued as i still have a year & half left on the license.

I still voted for KTS as i use most of it's features like VPN, Encryption, Safe Kids.

I just had a short conversation with kaspersky support about their new product line and thought I would share it:

when will kaspersky release their new product line basic standard and plus to replace antivirus internet security and total security?

It will be within 2022, the exact time will be different depend on region

will the new product line also replace kaspersky security cloud?

Kaspersky Security Cloud will be replaced by Kaspersky Plus.

Not RC yet... in general running quite smooth here, but still some GUI bugs (not serious)...

the standard and plus versions will have application control, while the basic product is just the basic antivirus alone without anything else and doesn't include a firewall.
Basic for KAV, standard for KIS, and plus for total security.
