Does anyone know if the standalone version of WhitelistCloud is updated as frequently as the one included with VoodooShield?
No, but I don't think that is necessary.Does anyone know if the standalone version of WhitelistCloud is updated as frequently as the one included with VoodooShield?
Dan, will that mean that a new standalone of WLC will be available?Yeah, the standalone version of WLC is far less prone to bugs than VS simply because the code does not have nearly the number of moving parts that VS has. There have been a few bugs, but I think it has been pretty much bug free for the last few months. If you guys find anything we need to fix though, please let me know.
Now that VS 6 is stable, it is time to add the other other file types to WLC, mainly script extensions that WLC currently does not cover. I have started building a list of file types WLC should cover and will post the list in a day or so, that way you guys can see if I missed something. Once we have a good list to work from, I will implement the changes in VS and WLC... that way when WLC is active, users can be essentially certain that only Safe executable code, scripts, LOLBins, etc. are running at any given time. Thank you!
Yes, that is the planDan, will that mean that a new standalone of WLC will be available?
This feature has been incorporated into VoodooShield as an option. When I use VS I enable WLC just for the heck of it.Have you been using Whitelistcloud?
Hey @oldschool ! how r u doing? I was talking specifically about the standalone version:This feature has been incorporated into VoodooShield as an option. When I use VS I enable WLC just for the heck of it.
I'm fine. Thanks for asking!Hey @oldschool ! how r u doing?
I don't use it. It's OK but IMO unnecessary, though it wouldn't hurt for you to try it out.I was talking specifically about the standalone version:
Do you use any other firewall besides windows firewall or firewall manager (like WFC)?but IMO unnecessary
I just uninstalled TinyWall recently and now use WF only.Do you use any other firewall besides windows firewall or firewall manager (like WFC)?
Any new development on that plan?I am not sure how long it is going to take to implement all of the new file types... it might take a little while.
