Solved window flashing for a fraction of a second (chrome? cmd? hard to tell)

Hi--

I'm not sure if this is an infection or something else. I started noticing a window flashing up on my screen periodically yesterday (5/23). One time it looked like a black, empty cmd window, but at other times it seemed white. It seems to happen when I have chrome open, but I have chrome open most of the time, so that might not be a factor.

I've also had problems with Office (Word, Excel) crashing the first time I open it, but I don't know if that's related, either.

Thanks! Nice to know there's probably nothing obviously bad going on. Maybe eventually I'll figure out what's happening... Or not, haha.
