Microsoft is adding a much-needed feature to Windows 10’s Registry Editor: an Address Bar. The new feature was added with Windows 10 Build 14942, which is only available to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring for now. With the Address Bar in the Registry Editor, users can simply paste an address into the address bar, and the Registry Editor will navigate them to that address. Currently, users have to manually navigate the Registry Editor, which can be quite annoying at times. But with the new address, things are a lot easier.

For example, if you are trying to navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppSync, you can simply copy the address, and paste it into the address bar to get there rather than having to manually go and find it on the Registry Editor.

Obviously, this is available to Windows Insiders only for now — but it’ll be coming to all Windows 10 users with a major new update next year. The update, which is code named Redstone 2 is also expected to introduce a number of other improvements throughout the operating system.

Great news, I've wanted this for a very long time... Very useful if you are doing development work which involves the registry and need to quickly switch through different keys to check the values, etc! :)

This honestly should of implemented a long time ago, in previous versions of Windows. Makes like so much easier to navigate.
