It's a very good tool , I've tried it in my VM and it performed great.Easy to use and with a lot of useful tweaks.
I also like the fact that the developer released the individual tools for download and not only this lets call it suite, so if you just need to "reset the registry permissions" you can easily download this tool and run it.Nevertheless I would recommend to download the full suite beacause each the steps can be skipped very easily ,giving total control to the user.

NAV 2012 detect it.
but, it's FP. and because i set SONAR and heauristic setting to aggresive.
** edit: even i set to automatic setting SONAR still detect it.
i thought because just fewer than 50 norton users use this. it's not have good reputation on norton insight.
this Virustotal result.

One of rare FP for Sonar. So Download Insight marked probably as safe however Sonar was the one reacted to be unsafe.

Tweaking.com Windows Repair 1.0.2

update

Tweaking.com - Windows Repair can do the following:

Reset Registry Permissions
Reset File Permissions
Register System Files
Repair WMI
Repair Windows Firewall
Repair Internet Explorer
Repair MDAC & MS Jet
Repair Hosts File
Remove Policies Set By Infections
Repair Icons
Repair Winsock & DNS Cache
Remove Temp Files
Repair Proxy Settings
Unhide Non System Files
Repair Windows Updates
and more...

Using Tweaking.com - Windows Repair:

When you first run the program you will be introduced to 4 steps before the
repair options. These steps are highly recommend to do before attempting any
repairs.

Step 1. Clean Your System Of Infections.
Trying to fix a system that is currently infected is obviously a very bad idea
and can make things worse. An infection can hijack a machine and keep part of
the repairs from running correctly. Since only part of a repair will work the
other part that failed could end up causing problems. Rule of thumb before
working on a system is to make sure it is clean. Even if you think your system
is clean doing a scan before hand is a good idea.

Step 2. Check File System
Doing a check disk on the hard drive is a good idea. This will have Windows
check the file system on the drive fixing any problem it finds. Corrupt files
can break a lot of things, including the repairs. So making sure the file system
is good is a must.

Step 3. System File Check (SFC)
The built in Windows system file checker is a tool that checks that the Windows
files are intact, the correct versions and not corrupted. This is a good idea to
do before doing repairs as if a file is corrupt and we try a repair that needs
that file then the repair will fail.

Step 4. System Restore
Doing a system restore point is a great idea to do before doing any repairs. If
any unforeseen problems happen after any repair than a system restore can put
the system back to the way it was before the repairs. This is highly
recommended.

Start Repairs
In this final step you can choose between 3 modes.
Basic Mode: This will run only the most basic, safe repair options. Extra
advanced repairs are disabled.
Advanced Mode: Runs more advanced repairs while leaving a few disabled.
Custom Mode: Every repair is available. The program will remember your repair
choices the next time you choose custom mode.

RE: Tweaking.com Windows Repair 1.0.2

It looks like a nice tool. I will have to try it the next time that I need to repair a system. I've had to manually repair WMI and Windows Updates on several Win7/WinXP systems before, it seams like they get corrupted very easy.

Thanks.:D

Yes but NIS has some pretty straight forward rules , IF It's : unknown , new and only a limited number of members in the Norton community have this installed than report to the user.
I for one like this system , which can save the end users from an infection the main downside is of course that it can generate some FP's like in this case.
To be fair I wouldn't be surprise if a HIPS or behavior blocker might also generate some pop-ups when running this tool due too what it does and the fact that it's new on the market.

New version released today. v.1.1.1
What's new in Tweaking.com - Windows Repair 1.1.1:
September 27th, 2011

· Remove some files from the Register System Files repair. While this repair worked great on a lot of some systems on a few ones it would create more problems. The repair now has a much smaller list of only known good files to register.
· Updated Repair IE section.
· Updated Repair MDAC Section.

Download

Thanks.:D

RE: Tweaking.com Windows Repair - Free repair utility

v1.2 released

-Per user request - Added a new repair "Repair CD/DVD Missing/Not Working"
-Fixed bug where when repairing WMI the WMI tester would open and the program wouldn't move forward till the WMI tester was closed. Most users didn't know to close this. I have made the program now look for and close the WMI tester if it pops up during the WMI repair.
