You're comparing two different security extension ideas, one on real-time page scanning and one on community experiences. Use both, they won't conflict as WOT blocks pages later than BitDefender TrafficLight. I also reccommend Adblock Plus or AdGuard, and Disconnect.

In theory, BitDefender TrafficLight will be better than WOT, but WOT is made up of hundreds of thousands of people contributing while Bitdefender is made up of only Bitdefender staff. So, 100,000 or around 100? However, TrafficLight steps in much earlier than WOT, and while WOT slows down page loading speed, TrafficLIght doesn't.

I had AdGuard(premuim) installed that incorporates WOT,then I must use BitDefender TrafficLight for faster browsing.Thanks for your valuable info

for me W.O.T. is a MUST.
I 've tried trafficlight in the past but it is not so effective.
In general the best 3 web filters for me are BlueCoat K9, McAfee Site Advisor and W.O.T.

WOT is much better because you can read the user commits and decide for yourself.
TrafficLight has far too many false positives, once blocked MalwareTips and my own website for no apparent reasons and it took them months to correct the errors.

The main difference between the two is WOT will only notify you when you visit the actual website whereas with TrafficLight it will block an entire website just because of a suspicious link that you might have not even tried to visit. It is too aggressive, sometimes it will block an entire website just because of a suspicious advert which was already blocked by your browsers adblocker.
