Xperia 1 III - Exclusive first look at Sony's new Flagship, the Xperia 1 IIIđź’§ - Steve Hemmerstoffer - Voice
Firstly, you will notice that the XPERIA 1 III looks almost identical to last year's XPERIA 1 II. However, the device dimensions have been shrunk down a bit (but with increased thickness) and it comes with a few noticeable upgrades and new features.

Things get more interesting from the other side of the device. Although the Xperia 1 III still features a triple camera system, it now comes with a periscope/telephoto lens. A very welcome move that may help Sony to substantially increase the optical zooming capabilities.

Lastly and quite luckily, Sony decided to keep the much appreciated dual front firing speakers as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Xperia 10 III - Exclusive first look at the Sony XPERIA 10 IIIđź’§ - Steve Hemmerstoffer - Voice
Measuring approximately 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3mm (9.1mm with rear camera bump), the Sony XPERIA 10 III (also called XPERIA 10 Mark 3) comes with a 6.0-inch flat display surrounded by sizable bezels. No notch or punch-hole here.

I don't have any details about the rear camera specs yet, but it is rumored to feature a 12MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

Quite weak if you compare it with some recently launched mi-range phones.

Sony retained the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the XPERIA 10 III which is again integrated within the power button of the phone.

In-display fingerprint readers can be slow and unreliable at this price point, so it's a sensible move.

Lastly, more good news for many of you: a 3.5mm headphone jack is still available on the top of the phone.

Xperia "compact" - Take a more detailed look at Sony's new
When I first saw this phone, I first thought it would be launched by Sony as the Xperia L4 successor and thus, the Xperia L5. This feeling great following recent rumors that Sony was about to launch a new compact smartphone.

But, due to its reduced dimensions (5.5-inch display and 140 x 68.9mm) compared to the Xperia L4 (6.2-inch display and 159 x 71mm), I began to question this.

Sony confirmed it would host an Xperia launch event on April 14, beginning at 9:30 AM CEST (3:30 AM ET). The company didn’t confirm the list of devices it plans to launch, but a Weibo tipster suggests that Xperia 1 III will appear. Reportedly set to join it is the mid-range Xperia 10 III and compact Xperia 5 III.
Sony improved its charging situation in 2020, with the Xperia 1 II delivering 21W wired charging and 15W wired charging. The latter is pretty solid nowadays, but we’d definitely like to see improved wired charging in 2021.

Faster charging does generally present a higher risk of degrading the battery at an even faster rate, but we don’t need to see 65W or 100W charging here. Even 30W or 40W charging would be a welcome improvement over the current 21W charging solution. Faster charging is also integral today as battery capacity increases in the 5G era.
