It's short name is XDM . Looks like IDM copy, and its FREEWARE. One of the most interesting feature is that it can be installed in Linux/Mac as well as Windows. So, in LInux, who still misses IDM, and who don't want to pay for IDM in Windows, perfectly suits them.

I am going to test it on Windows as well as on linux, both on Virtual Machines, lets see how this one works.

Added Later :
I tried to install it on live machine, but FortiClient Web Protection detected it as malicious site, but in Virustotal not a single detection from other companies, maybe a false detection...

I tested it, but noticed it used a lot more memory than FDM. Since FDM works well enough for me, I saw no reason to change.

FDM is great but it can't grab videos from youtube like IDM and freeware like eagleget.....IMO for free version is Eagleget is the best out there....it can download youtube videos too although it crashes sometimes out of no where....

To download youtube videos, I'm using a recommendation Littlebits' made a while back: Freemake Video Downloader. FDM works too, but FVD is more convenient, plus it can download full HD whereas with FDM you get 720p max.

By the way, for anyone interested in minimalistic setups, I have the FreemakeVideoCapture CaptureLibService.exe set to Manual so it doesn't start automatically (in fact you can set it to Disabled). I'm using Pale Moon without the programs addon installed, and I only call it up when I want to download something. All I have to do is copy the video page URL and click the Paste button in FVC. If you prefer more automation the default configuration of the program is quite convenient with the browser addon button calling up the program and adding the video to the download list with one click.

Thanks for the tip. I see it needs Java, though. Does it grab full HD too? Anyway, FVD is a lot more convenient, especially when you want to download several videos in one sitting. But KeepVid is nice when you don't want to install anything (besides Java).

By the way, how are the speeds of KV? FVD is very fast to download.

Well, that site pops out to install java plugin, i didn't install it coz i have java already installed in my PC but it not allows me to download so i turn "off" java on that site where it says "Java: On"
& it allows me to download. and yes it allows u to download in 1080p HD if that video is in HD too. thnx :D
