Lookavorae.com EXPOSED – Fake or Real? Store Investigation

By Thomas Orsolya7 min read

Stylish clothes. Home gadgets. Gifts. On Lookavorae.com, they all cost a fraction of the usual price, and that’s exactly what makes you stop scrolling.

The photos are polished. What arrives in your mailbox often tells another story, and a refund can take far more effort than the purchase ever did.

Lookavorae.com scam

Overview

A reseller using dropshipping, not a brand

Don’t expect Lookavorae.com to make anything itself. Like thousands of similar stores, it lists items sourced from low-cost suppliers, which ship straight from warehouses in China.

Advertisements

The store’s role stops at pricing, ads and payments. It never touches the goods; a supplier you’ll never hear from packs your order and sends it.

Advertisements

Lookavorae.com is one of a set. Its scam network keeps near-identical stores running on shared templates, product photos and return policies, and simply reopens them under new names.

Cheap items that don’t match the ads

You won’t receive the product in the pictures. They’re usually borrowed from other sellers or brands, and the very low quality items that do arrive look nothing like the ads.

Returns that cost more than the item is worth

The refund policy can sound like a safety net, but the details don’t back that up:

  • Your return ships internationally. The postage is on you, and the destination is usually China.
  • The postage can cost more than the item. Mailing a $25 purchase overseas can run you more than you paid for it.
  • The refund offer is a discount. A return request usually gets you 15% to 30% back to hang on to the item, not a full refund.
  • Don’t expect quick help. Contact is usually limited to email, where a single reply can take days to arrive.

Do not buy from Lookavorae.com. We rate it a high-risk store because you’ll likely pay far more than the item is worth, then find no practical way to return it.

What We Found on Lookavorae.com

Here’s what we noticed when we looked at Lookavorae.com:

  • Lookavorae.com was registered on October 19, 2026, only 10 days ago.
  • The MalwareTips URL scanner gives Lookavorae.com a Safety Score of 34/100, rated High Risk (full report).

What Happens When You Order from Lookavorae.com

Most orders play out the same way. If you know the pattern before you buy, you can keep your money and skip weeks of email back-and-forth.

Step 1: You spot an ad with an unusually cheap price

Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are the usual starting points. A slick photo or short video shows the product steeply discounted, frequently with a “limited time” tag.

Advertisements

Dozens of other shops often advertise with that same product video. Same suppliers, same borrowed marketing material.

Advertisements

Step 2: A shop that seems bigger than it is

Nothing about Lookavorae.com looks thrown together. Categories, star ratings and a friendly About Us page suggest an established shop, when often it’s simply a template with a supplier list attached.

Many unrelated shops use the same About Us wording about a small family business or a passionate founder. That story is usually a template too.

Step 3: Weeks pass before your parcel turns up

A parcel from China doesn’t move fast. The promised 5 to 7 days can become three or four weeks, and the tracking can sit on one update for days.

Advertisements

It can get worse when an order is split. Some arrive in several small packages with their own tracking numbers, and one missing parcel can be hard to prove.

Step 4: The product falls short of the pictures

Eventually the package comes. Inside is an item smaller, thinner or simpler than the one advertised, the type that goes for pocket change in other stores.

Clothing is the top complaint. Expect cheap fabric, stitches coming loose and sizes based on a chart that has no connection to the website’s size guide.

Step 5: The return postage problem

Request a refund and you’ll be asked to photograph the item, then ship it to China. The cost of postage alone can cancel the refund.

Then comes the usual counteroffer. Keep the item, they say, and get 15% to 30% back. That still leaves you covering most of the price for something you never wanted.

This is where many buyers call it quits, and that’s exactly why the policy reads as it does.

Red Flags at Lookavorae.com

Before you pay Lookavorae.com anything, give each of these warning signs a minute. They show why the store isn’t the deal it appears to be.

Prices that don’t square with the item

It’s tempting to grab a $29 leather bag or a $19 smartwatch. Just know the photos show a nicer product than the much cheaper version those prices actually buy.

Don’t be swayed by the crossed-out “original” price either. It’s rarely real. It’s placed there to make an ordinary price seem like a discount.

Photos that show up on other sites

A quick reverse image search often reveals these photos on other stores and marketplaces, or on a brand’s own website.

Advertisements

The source tells you something. A brand photo means your item won’t be from that brand, and a marketplace photo often means you can get it cheaper there.

Advertisements

An unidentifiable company behind the store

Shops in this network rarely display a registered company name, a tax number or a local address, so tracking down the seller after a bad order is hard.

Email is the only way to get help

There’s usually no phone number and no live chat, just an email address or a contact form. That means a time-sensitive problem can sit unresolved for weeks.

Meanwhile, your chance to open a dispute with PayPal or your bank is shrinking. Check those deadlines as the days go by.

Countdown timers and false scarcity

If every product shows “only 2 left” and the timer restarts when you reload, you’re looking at a pressure tactic. Actual inventory doesn’t move like this.

Advertisements

Walk away from the tab for a while. When you return and the “sale” hasn’t ended, you’ll know it was never really limited.

Checkout add-ons that raise your total

The basket can come preloaded with ticked add-ons like shipping protection, priority handling or a second item. Read through every line of the total before you pay.

Real cover and quicker shipping are rarely what you get from these add-ons. You get a larger bill, on an order whose value may already sit far below its price.

Someone else’s name on the payment form

Did checkout bounce you to a payment page with an unrelated name? Stop. The card details you type there go to a company you’ve never heard of.

A lookalike shop inside a scam network

Shops in this group swap names, not stock. One closes, another opens with the same catalog, and dozens of them carry the same About Us story, policies and product photos.

How to Check an Online Store Before You Buy

A few minutes of checking can tell you whether an online shop is worth your money. Start with these questions before you pay:

  • Who is selling to you? Look for a company name, a registration or tax number and an address. A shop that names nobody is hard to hold to a promise.
  • Where do returns go? Find the return address in the refund policy. If it’s overseas or missing, assume a return will cost more than it’s worth.
  • How old is the website? Paste the address into the MalwareTips Website Scanner. It shows the domain’s age and any known warning signs in seconds.
  • Are the photos original? Run a reverse image search on a product photo. If the same picture appears on many sites, the item is a generic product.
  • What do buyers say elsewhere? Search the store on Trustpilot and in search results, not just the reviews on the shop itself.
  • Is the ad real footage? Many shop ads now use AI-generated videos and photos. If the product only ever appears in slick renders, expect something plainer.
  • Does the price make sense? Compare it with the same item on a major marketplace. A huge markdown on an unknown shop is a reason to slow down.
  • Can you reach a person? A phone number or live chat is a good sign. An email address alone means problems will take a long time to solve.

If several answers come back wrong, close the tab. There’s almost always a seller with a clearer return policy and a company you can actually look up.

For extra protection while you browse, Malwarebytes Browser Guard warns you about many known scam and phishing sites before they load.

Where to Buy Instead

Wanting a product you found on Lookavorae.com is fine. Just get it somewhere safer:

  • Compare prices on a major marketplace. The identical product often shows up there much cheaper, and you’ll have real reviews and buyer protection on your side.
  • Go for sellers with a local return address. A return you can mail cheaply is a return you’ll actually bother to make.
  • Look at photos from real customers. They capture what arrives, rather than what the ad wants you to picture.
  • Look up the seller’s shipping location. Marketplaces display it. If it’s a local warehouse, delivery is faster and returning an item is actually doable.
  • Stick to protected payment. Choose a credit card or PayPal, so a dispute is available if needed.

It may cost a little more, but you’ll receive what you ordered from a seller that actually honors refunds.

What to Do If You Already Ordered from Lookavorae.com

Ordering from a shop like this doesn’t mean the money is gone. Acting early gives you the best chance of fixing the order or getting a refund.

  1. Save everything. Keep the order confirmation, the tracking number, every email from the store and screenshots of the product page as it looked when you bought.
  2. Photograph what arrives. Take clear photos of the item, the label and the packaging, especially anything that doesn’t match the listing.
  3. Ask the store in writing. Email support, describe the problem plainly and say what you want: a full refund or a replacement. Give them a short deadline.
  4. Don’t pay for an overseas return yet. If the store asks you to ship the item to China, check with your card issuer or PayPal first.
  5. Don’t accept a token refund. Offers of 15% to 30% back to keep the item are common. If the item isn’t as described, a dispute may get you more.
  6. Open a dispute if the store stalls. Use “item not received” or “not as described” with your card issuer or PayPal, and attach your evidence.
  7. Watch the deadlines. Card disputes often allow around 120 days, and PayPal generally accepts claims within 180 days of payment. Don’t let weeks of unanswered emails use them up.
  8. Ignore “customs fee” texts. Fake delivery messages asking you to pay a fee or update your address often follow online orders. Don’t pay or click.
  9. Leave an honest review. A short review on an independent site, with photos, helps the next shopper decide.

If you paid by bank transfer, contact your bank right away and ask whether the payment can be recalled. The sooner you call, the better the odds.

If the store won’t cooperate, file a complaint at econsumer.gov, which handles cross-border shopping complaints, or at ReportFraud.ftc.gov in the US.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Lookavorae.com a scam?

Yes. Lookavorae.com is a high-risk store tied to a scam network. Your order may arrive, but expect very low-quality items and a return that costs too much. Do not buy.

Where does Lookavorae.com ship from?

Most items come directly from suppliers based in China. Delivery can take several weeks because of that, and the tracking often updates at a crawl.

Why does the product look so different from the photos?

It’s usually because the photos were taken from other sellers or brands. The item shipped to you is a cheaper version built around a low price.

Advertisements

Can I return an item to Lookavorae.com?

You usually can, but the package has to go to China and you cover the shipping. On a cheap order, that can wipe out the refund and then some.

Before you send a return to China, contact your card issuer or PayPal and ask whether a “not as described” dispute would cover you instead.

My order never arrived or isn’t as described. What now?

Write to the store first. Should it refuse or keep stalling, your card issuer or PayPal is the next stop: open a dispute and include item photos plus listing screenshots.

Are the reviews on Lookavorae.com real?

Don’t take them at face value. Reviews hosted on the store’s own site are simple to stack with praise. Buyer photos and comments on independent sites are a better guide.

The Bottom Line

Lookavorae.com is a high-risk store in a scam network of lookalike shops. Behind the ads sit very low-quality items that look nothing like them, and returns rarely make sense.

Do not buy from Lookavorae.com, however good the ad looks. Want the product anyway? Find it on a marketplace with buyer protection.

Already ordered from the store? Save your order email and product screenshots, photograph what arrives, and dispute it with your card or PayPal if the store won’t fix things.
